I grew up in the small farm town of Spencerville in Northwest Ohio. Since childhood it was my dream to care for animals. As early as I can remember I would dress up my outdoor cats in little dresses and bonnets and bandage up my stuffed animals. At 5 years old I decided I needed to become a vet. 30-some years later here I am, still loving the care of animals. I graduated from University of Findlay in 2001 and The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. I love the Columbus area and decided to stay. My favorite part of veterinary medicine is the day to day variety of general practice – I love helping people help their pets live long happy healthy lives, from training the new pup to managing arthritis in the geriatric crowd. I have special interests in emergency medicine, dentistry, and fear free handling.

I spend my time outside of work with my terrific husband, 2 great kids, 3 feline fur babies, and our new pup. We recently adopted Bernadette, a Golden Retriever puppy. She loves to come to work with me, chew on Josh’s hat, and steal the toilet paper from the bathrooms!

After graduating from Ohio State with a degree in Psychology, Kelly went for her first interview at a rehabilitation facility. There was a resident cat at the facility and after leaving the interview that cat made the biggest impression on her. She knew that she had to involve animals in her career. She worked as a kennel attendant in a training facility for a few years learning hands on about dog behavior. She then decided to become involved in the medical care of animals as a veterinary assistant so that she could work both with pet owners and their pets. She has been doing that for the past 22 years. She was excited for the opportunity to join our team and help us grow our client family in this location. She has a daughter that attends Dublin Coffman High School and enjoys riding her bike with her parents in Glacier Ridge metropark. Her other passion is photography, and she enjoys capturing pictures of people, animals, and nature.

Renee is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved to Columbus for school in 2012. She graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s in systems and behavioral neuroscience. Currently, she lives in Mechanicsburg and is a nursing student at Columbus State. Renee loves spending time with her soon-to-be husband and their 3 fur babies (Dugan, Kahlua, and Bella). Between work and school, Renee enjoys yoga, making art, planning her wedding, and exploring her new hometown.

Brianna has been in the veterinary field for 10 years. She is an amazing addition to our team! She worked with Dr. Clementz at the VCA Westerville East location, and is excited to have moved to the area! She graduated from Bradford, where she received her RVT degree and license. Bri has a 3 year old rescue dog named Franklin. She loves to try new restaurants in the Columbus area.

Bernie is our rapidly growing Golden Retriever puppy. She is an adorable, happy girl who will be delighted to greet you at the door. Bernie, or “Dr. Rostenkowski-Wolowitz” for Big Bang Theory fans, spends her days basking in the sun and terrorizing rolls of toilet paper. Her hobbies include playing tug with rope toys and chewing on Josh’s hat.
